Larry Gene White, 77, of Burkburnett, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025.


A son of the late Mervin and Rose Marie (Rutjes) White, Larry was born on November 3, 1947 in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  He served our country proudly in the United States Air Force, retiring with over 20 years as MSgt.  Larry went on to work for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, retiring with 25 years of service.


Larry married the love of his life, Mary Ruth Anderson, on July 18, 1987.  He was a longtime member of the VFW and the American Legion.  Larry enjoyed watching Sci-Fi movies, being outdoors, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.


Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, and two twin sisters.


He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Ruth White; his children, Jana Lynne Bryan and husband Doug, Traci Leann Balentine and husband Randy, Marjorie Rose Hanna, and LaDora Gene Lewis; two sisters, Pam Ferry and husband Dan, and Sandy Lavak; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and his four-legged buddy, “Lucky”.


Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.
