In the early 1960's my family purchased a wonderful small home in Spring Branch addition in Houston, TX designed by Lars Bang. The man we bought it from grew up with him. I loved that house like no other I had ever lived in. The front wall which faced the street was crafted from red brick and glass in and outside. Just to watch the light change daily with the rotation of the Earth was like a ritual. Small but functional ,the floor plan just "worked" I would never have sold it except for...

Kathryn and Michael so enjoyed the Thanksgiving they spent with your family, father & grandfather. Wish I'd had the opportunity to meet him. May you have memories as unique as he seemed to be to bring you comfort and to keep him in your hearts.

I know I don't have to tell you what an awesome father you had. He was such an inspiration, a storyteller, and a loving, generous man. If Lars was sitting at your table or in your home, you knew it was going to be entertaining. I enjoyed listening to his stories of the early days in Houston. He was and is a "giant" in my mind.
