Lars will be truly missed and has always been one of my favorite teammates. His "these guys are terrible" speech he gave to us is the best team talk I've ever heard- I've never laughed so hard during a soccer game. I will miss you sir.

He won more of the challenges than I did. I consider myself to be a lucky man to have known Lars and I will take every opportunity possible to celebrate his life and friendship. My deepest...

As a Dane removed from Denmark, I always felt a bond with Lars that was only strengthened by his great humor and the camaraderie of the Ames Hurricanes. I will always treasure the memories of our time spent playing pickup, going out for drinks, and a summer league game in particular where Lars absolutely refused to stop scoring.
Jeg skal savne dig, min ven.
