I am so thankful for the family gatherings at Bet Alford's.
La Rue always made her pound cake that everyone enjoyed.

All of us loved for her to come "play"...she would cut jokes, sing and tell us great stories. What a wonderful personality and strong, smart true southern lady. Glad I knew her.
