Dennis, Joel and all of Lary's family - I am very sorry for your loss. Lary was my best friend growing up 2 houses down on Random Road. I will always have fond memories of playing marbles in the driveway; skateboarding in your basement; riding down to the soda fountain at Bellisle's drug store for a chocolate coke; giving grief to our teachers at Burke Acres elementary; running wild at my grandparents' farm in Shelbyville. Later in life he did a lot of plumbing work for me, my mom and my...

Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time as you remember Lary. We always enjoyed anytime spent talking to him about the topics of the day to everyday life. He was extremely helpful and professional when it came to his craft and we are very thankful to have been graced with that. Reading his obituary gave us insight and confirmed a lot of what we loved about Lary. Hoping the days that follow mourning his loss will soon be filled with days of celebration of his life and smiles and...

My grandpa was an amazing person who deserved the world, he was always making others laugh. He was selfless, kind, smart and so much more. I will always cherish the memories shared with him, even the smallest things and I will miss him more than words can explain.

The last time I saw Lary I was having ice cream in Plainwell with a friend. I introduced Lary to my friend and we chatted for quite a while until our ice cream was gone. When we parted I gave him a long heartfelt hug and told him I would pray for him. Later my friend asked "How do you know that guy?" "I replied "Oh he is my plumber". He looked confused and replied "He must be a pretty special guy!" I smiled and said "Yes he truly is one of a kind!". Rest In Peace Lary

Pat and family - Sincere condolences to each of you in the loss of your beloved Lary.
Although I did not know him, I’m certain he was a wonderful man because you, Patty, chose him. My prayers for you as you grieve Lary in the days and years ahead.
Please know I think of you and your brother and sisters often as I remember you in your growing up years when I was fortunate to work for your father, Dan.
May each of you be encircled by the love of God in your loss.

There will never be another like Lary. He and I had long and wonderful discussions about just about any subject. His witty and colorful sense of humor was priceless and I will greatly miss our lengthy talks. Lary had a great love for his Family and my deepest thoughts go to his Loved ones, especially Pat and Isaac. Lary always spoke of integrity and I found a wonderful quote that fits him wonderfully.
