Not sure what to say?

Coach Thomas was an amazing role model and inspired so many students to become better athletes and people. We are truly heart broken.

This news is heart breaking, and seems to hurt more because Latif was our big brother, leader, captain, mentor, and coach. May your heart rest in peace and your spirit remain powerful through your daughter.

So Sad. A huge loss. My deepest condolences. -For the Love of the Run

I first met encountered Latif back around 2000 at UConn, at aUSATF Level-2 Instructors Certification course! He appeared then to have a passion and zeal for the sport of Track & Field! Our thoughts remain with you and your family at this time. We are honored by the trust and confidence you have placed in us during this difficult time.

Single Memorial Tree

My deepest condolences to the Thomas family. This is such a huge shock - I loved Latif he truly was such a big part of my childhood. So many basketball games in the driveway. Such a big heart RIP my old friend -

News of Latif´s passing breaks my heart. Although death is the one thing that is absolutely promised to all of us, it´s difficult to see our loved ones leave us. I will remember his smile and his sense of humor and our silly times growing up while at UCONN. Sending my deepest condolences; I pray that his family pulls closer than ever and they find comfort during this difficult time.

Prayers to the family! UConn track teammate Errol Buggs
