Latisha Simon‚ Green Baker Darlington - Funeral service for Mrs. Latisha Simon‚ Green Baker will be 3:00 p. m. Saturday, November 2, 2013 in Center Baptist Church. Rev. Jackie Boyd, Pastor. Burial will follow in Hart #2 Cemetery directed by Mitchell-Josey Funeral Home, Inc., Darlington. Mrs. Baker died Saturday, October 26th in a Florence hospital. She was born in New York, NY a daughter of Sheila Green and Samuel Sweeper. She was educated in NY and Darlington County Public Schools. She attended Florence Baptist Temple and Center Baptist Church and was employed at U.S.D.A. Survivors include: her husband, Bernard "Pete" Baker of the home; 2 sons, Bernard "Nuke" Baker and Saquawn "Sae" Baker both of the home; her mother and step-father, Sheila Green and Delaine Daniels both of Darlington; her father, Samuel Sweeper of Staten Island, NY; her paternal grandmother, Betty Sweeper of Staten Island, NY; 2 sisters, Shirmira (Anthony) Brown of Darlington and Keyanna Amaker of NJ; a brother, Samuel Nelson of Staten Island, NY; special sister-in-law, Marie Baker; special aunt, Dana Zimmerman; father-in-law, Eddie Lee Baker; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family is receiving friends at the residence, 2917 Cale Yarborough Highway, Timmonsville.
