Latrena Forrest Smith

Latrena Forrest Smith was born November 28, 1967 to the parentage of George and Annie Mae Wiggs Forrest in Vidalia, Georgia. She attended the Toombs County School System and was a graduate of Toombs County High School. Latrena attended Fort Valley State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Criminal Justice Degree with a minor emphasis in Early Childhood Education. She also obtained her Master’s Degree at Fort Valley State in Rehabilitation Counseling. She entered into eternal rest on May 29, 2024, after an extended illness at Glenwood Healthcare, Glenwood, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her father and siblings Shon Forrest, Otha Lee Forrest, Debbie McLendon and Gwen Corbett.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, her children, Mark D. Marshall Jr. and Calwin L. Smith; grandchildren, Jalan D. Ashley, Skylar A. Smith, and Kori J.A. Love; her mother, Annie Mae Wiggs; siblings, Janice (Gerard) Hart, Stephanie (Reuben) Lockhart, Donny Forrest, Edward (Octavia) Forrest, Roger Wiggs; Special Friend, Beverly McCloud; and a host of other relatives and friends.
