Even today i think about Laura and her music.. she was one of a kind . Never pretended to be someone she was not? Only and original.. she was my husbands favorite so one day i told him if we ever have children and its a girl we will name her Laura and dont you know she was name Laura . My daughter came to learn where she got her name.. she has been missed by many ... my favorite song is cuando dos almas se queren and Carino.. RIP Laura sing to the Lord with your beautiful voice.. we love you

Met her many times played at my high school dance. Roma Texas, very humble, very hard, working beautiful voice. Still here in music almost every day.

Laura’s voice was so beautiful and strong in every song she sang. She was a beauty and much fun to be with. I knew her since I was young when we’d go to her home and hear her dad, sing and play the guitar. His nick name was pronounced Shó rre.
Her mom, Nena, went to our church, Gethsemane Presbyterian, and my mom, Olivia Maldonado, and her were dear friends. May they all Rest In Peace.

My dear friend, my aunt just sent me a picture of us that she came across. In it was you, my aunt and me. It was taken in your apartment in McAllen. What nice memories. I didn't realize the anniversary of your death is just less than a week away. I pray that you are resting in peace and smiling down on us. We miss you my friend.

I still recall listening to your wonderful Tejano music as a child; while in the car with my parents, thank you for the great music, rest easy!
