Not sure what to say?

Laura was one of my best friends in high school. Her friendship and her family were a gift to me. The warmth of the Olson home is easy for me to recall all these years later. Laura and I shared the 4 Figs, The Pink Ladies, KN"s and endless laughs. The green Dodge Dart took us on many adventures. Laura's creativity was evident in all that she did; her art, speech, dress. Laura was a old soul operating on a higher plane. I feel privileged to have had her as my friend.

I remember Laura's joyful personality and her love of the outdoors. She had a beautiful heart and lived life to the fullest. She was a devoted Mom and left two handsome and admirable young men and a loving husband. Memories of Laura are sure to brighten your day. - LPT

I am so sorry to read the news about Laura. I remember her as a classmate at Roosevelt High School and then later, as a friend on Vashon where we had both migrated. I send the entire Olson family my sincere condolences, Laura was indeed a loving woman who admired her children, adored her husband and made those of us around her feel welcomed.

My family first met Laura after my daughter was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. At that time Laura was about five years past her lung transplant and my daughter was adamant that she would never have a transplant - no matter what. Laura looked at her and said "Tammi, you are not sick enough to make that decision". Eventually Tammi did get sick enough and Laura was a sounding board for many of us, but especially me. She had that keen insight of what my daughter was going...

Laura has been an inspiration to me since I have also been diagnosed with a rare interstitial lung disease. She helped me through the diagnostic process and was an understanding ear whenever I needed one. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful person.

I'm really sad to hear this news. My heartfelt condolences to her family and all her friends. I went to Roosevelt High School with Laura and she was so well liked; a very friendly, funny and easygoing person. She made my life better for knowing her.

Many of us remember Laura from our time at Roosevelt. We honor her life and remember her with love.

How happy Iam to find this website, so I can have this picture of Laura in my kitchen for a while, just to smile at and to know she is smiling back. She is LOVED in a big way. Helen A.

Need to point out that I am a complete idiot and typed "David" when I meant "Roger", and didn't see a way to retract or edit my post. Please forgive my incompetence.
