Laura Hazel Franklin

Laura was born on March 27, 1932 and passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She graduated from Risco High School May 17, 1950; attended The Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating September 4, 1954, and earned her B.A. from Southwest Texas State University December 19, 1971, where she was elected Alpha Chi in 1969. She joined the Air Force as a nurse and served for four years stateside, retiring to raise her family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PITCHIN (Promoting Independence Through Community Help for Individuals in Need), an organization that provides community support and resources for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, 8911 N.
