Not sure what to say?

In loving memory, from the summer of '68, in upstate NY.

I am sorry to learn that Laura has passed on. I only knew her for a brief time as my neighbor in Shrewsbury. She was welcoming and I enjoyed chatting with her at times during her daily walks around our neighborhood. I will miss her friendly smile. May wonderful memories comfort her family and friends.

I was a classmate of Laura at Walt Whitman High School. She was so very smart but equally sweet and kind and modest. I largely lost touch with her after graduation, but it is wonderful to learn more of her loving family and of her having such a successful career in support of issues important to her. Her passing is a huge loss. May her memory be for a blessing.

I had the privilege of collaborating for many years with Laura and her Brandeis students to provide free guidance, training, and legal assistance to tenants in Waltham through the Waltham Alliance for Teaching, Community Organizing, and Housing. Honestly, I enjoyed every minute of our work together. I benefited from the endless sparks of creativity, optimism, generosity, and dedication she brought to everything she did. She was as modest as she was brilliant, and as compassionate as she was...

Laura Goldin, who we lovingly called LG, meant so much to me throughout my time at Brandeis. I took multiple classes with LG, did a field semester under her supervision, and served as a Teaching Assistant for her. Throughout my time at Brandeis, she showed me and countless others that she believed in us and worked with us to find our strengths and passions in the environmental field. I had so many 1:1 meetings with her in her office where she encouraged me to take new opportunities and...

I´m deeply sorry for your loss and for the sad news about Professor Goldin, she was my mentor and favorite professor at Brandeis. I have many fond memories in her USEM class, field trip to Walden Pond, or our class project that resulted in the cafeteria switching to-go boxes to recyclable materials (way back in the early 2000´s). She helped me to find an internship at the New England Aquarium that resulted in my first job after Brandeis, and years later Professor Goldin wrote my letter for...

So very sorry to hear of Laura's passing. I have not seen her since high school, but I recall how very kind she was. I am not surprised to read of her life's accomplishments and her legacy. May her memory be for a blessing.
