Not sure what to say?

Time passes so quick Laura. Think of you many times a week, specially when SP song's play or music of bands you mailed me to Europe after my departure from the US. Your memory still lives in me strongly. Your paintings are on my walls. The thing that I miss the most is talking to you and hearing your opinion about my thoughts. Hard to reread all the letter you sent me. You were really an amazing friend. Miss you Wawa. Hope Hobbes is with you. Kisses and hugs.

I never met Laura, but her name always pops up when my students search for my blog. I am a seventh grade writing teacher in Indiana. Over the years, many students have asked me if I have cancer and I would explain that I do not, but that your Laura was a woman who shared my name. I encouraged students to read about her. You will be in my thoughts this holiday season--your first without your loved one. I couldn't bring myself to click on her obituary until today. My deepest condolences to her...

May you rest in peace.

I never met Laura, but followed her story on you tube. Somehow she inspired me, I am sorry for your loss.

I hope the promise at Isaiah 57:15 comfort your family during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of connecting with Laura through her lung cancer advocacy work. I was thrilled to talk to her because I'm a Texpat and loved hearing all about Dallas concerts, her new home, etc. She was incredibly generous in sharing her story publicly in hopes it would help others. I hadn't spoken with her in nearly two years but she made such an impression that I looked her up today and found this obituary. She was a light in this world and will be missed.

Laurin, I am so sorry for your tragic loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met Laura once on a matter of business ... probably ten years ago. A short conversation, not long enough to form a reasoned opinion. But for some unexplained reason she was inspirational, even before I became aware of her illness. And for some reason, I'm sure unexplained, I believe she will remain inspirational still.

Dear Mary Lou and family,
I am deeply saddened to know of the loss of Laura. There are no words to soften the sorrow you must feel. She was a very special young lady, and I consider it a privilege to have known her and to have experienced her beautiful, gentle spirit.
Fondly,
Marianne Phelps
