Dear Sharon,
I was just wondering a month ago where Laura had gotten herself to since her old phone number was out of order. I find I read the Edmonton Journal every Saturday and check the obituaries these days. I was a little taken aback this past Saturday to find Laura's name there.

Dear Sharon: I read your Mom's obituary in today's Journal and wanted to send my condolences in your loss. You may remember me as Doris Stewart. I was married to Doug Stewart, who was with Trader's Finance,later Guaranty Trust, as was your dad.

We had a lot of good times together, along with Gordon and Dorys Aldridge, Dale and Arlene Jenkins, Laura and Don Lennie. Doug passed away in 1980 and in 1989 I remarried, thus the name Doris Myhre.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Laura. I will always remember how incredibly funny she was and how she would always bring me a peach from the farmers market in Callingwood. I was truly blessed to have known her. Wanda Neufeld
