Laura M. Stillwell MADISON- Laura May Stillwell, 85, of Madison, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 3, 2015, at her home. She was born October 12, 1929, in Thompson, Ohio, the daughter of the late, Frank and Hazel (Grethen) Wheelock and had remained a lifelong area resident. Laura married Charles Stillwell on April 25, 1948. Laura worked at Madison Health Care for many years. She enjoyed doing plastic canvas, and reading. Most of all Laura loved her family and enjoyed spending anytime she could with them; she was always their number one fan. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Diane) Stillwell and Jon Stillwell; daughters, Vicki (Sam) Gildersleeve, Vanessa Stillwell, and Nancy (Eugene) Jarvis; granddaughter, Renee (Billy) Cole; great-granddaughter, Kaelyn Cole; brother, Larry Wheelock; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Laura was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2002; son, Mark Stillwell; grandson, David Stillwell; sisters, Jean Davidson, June Rosier, Joyce Kovach, and Dorothy Laux; and brothers, Richard, Lawrence, Robert, David, and Lester Wheelock. A Celebration of Laura's life will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 7:00 PM at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 P.M. until the time of service at 7 P.M. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Madison Memorial Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Wounded Warrior Project or American Cancer Society.
