Laura Yopp

Will always remember my second grade teacher from Southwest Elementary School in Windsor Locks, from September 1967 to June 1968. I was a seven year old boy then, growing up in a small town ( Windsor Locks ) CT in the late 1960s. She was very kind to me, & even now at nearly 65 years of age myself, in 2025, I can still remember what a nice person & great teacher she was ! Your mom ( Laura Yopp ) taught second grade, at Southwest Elementary School in Windsor Locks CT during Sep 1967 to Jun 1968. I was in her class as a 7 yr old 2nd grader. Your mom was one of the kindest teachers Ive ever had. So sorry to hear of her passing. She was probably age31/32 when she was my second grade teacher, in 1967/1968. God Bless your mom, for the great teacher & kind person that she was !

Laura has been a friend to me for many years. I first met her at Bailys gym in Manchester, CT. We used to do the stepper together, Laura is a kind and gentle person. Laura invited me to her condo a couple of times when she lived in South Windsor, CT. I met her beautiful friendly cat. We met for lunch at a pizza restaurant near her condo. We also went for lunch at a restaurant near Insparations beauty parlor where I get my haircut. I remember she did not like croutons on her salad. ...
