LAURALEE ELIZABETH CORDINER
On Monday, July 10, 2017, Lauralee Elizabeth Cordiner passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, at the age of 55 years.
Lauralee will be sadly missed by her husband, Greg McCombe; mother Jacqueline Cordiner; brother William Cordiner (Susan) and the entire McCombe family. She will also be missed by her stepdaughters, Tayla and Marley McCombe; Scout and Dakota as well as many relatives in Ontario and in Scotland. She was predeceased by her father, Robertson John (Bob) Cordiner in 1999.
On December 3, 1961, Lauralee was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and grew up in Windsor Park. She attended both the University of Manitoba and Red River College. She began working at The Royal Bank of Canada as a summer student and spent her entire working career of 32 years at RBC in various capacities. Lauralee worked in both Selkirk, Manitoba as well as Winnipeg at a couple of different branches; Henderson and McIvor and Pembina and Oakenwald. Her love for RBC, her clients and co-workers was evident by the passion by which she displayed on a daily basis. Lauralee resided in the St. Vital area of Winnipeg with her husband Greg and her canine kids, Scout and Dakota. She spent many summers at the family cottage at “Whispering Pines” in Grand Marais, Manitoba and very much enjoyed that laid-back lifestyle. Through the years, Lauralee and her husband Greg have made a yearly trek to Vancouver Island, specifically to Tofino, BC, which she absolutely loved. She also enjoyed many trips with her husband Greg and family.
Lauralee was a very talented, gifted person and enjoyed being a wonderful wife, daughter and sister. Her love for her family, friends (co-workers) and animals had no boundaries. She had a very special place in her heart for “her boys and girls”, Murphy, Chelsey, Hurricane, Badger, Scout, Dakota, Boo, Babe and Bazi.
On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, Lauralee’s Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. in Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Drive at Cottonwood Road, Winnipeg, with Rev. Teresa Moysey, presider. Interment will be held at a later date in St. Vital City Cemetery.
A special thanks to the doctors and nurses in Care Unit E2 and E5 at St. Boniface Hospital.
