Not sure what to say?

The Jones family fondly remembers Laurel and the girls when they lived on Marshall street in Kentwood. Our deepest sympathy to your family.

Laurel and I met in second grade at Churchill-Henry when my family moved to Norton Shores. We remained friends through graduation, from Mona Shores in 1969, and beyond. We shared many shenanigans along with life building experiences. I have fond memories including Cool Whip and blueberries, water skiing, haircuts (she forgave me!), weekdays when we "got to go" to the beach and more. I am sorry that I did not know Laurel was sick but I do know she was taken too early. My prayers are with you...

I’m so sorry to hear about Laurels passing.
She was a great asset to Steelcase with all of her hard work & dedication. I knew her
for many years during my 39 yrs. at the Case, always willing to help a hand & a joy
to be around. My sincere thoughts & prayers to all the family.

May my condolences bring comfort to Tom, Julia and Jane and to the rest of Laurel’s family. I never got to meet you, Julia and Jane, but I want you both to know that you have a very special mom (she is still with you). She made my life better in so many ways, including providing wonderful memories of having a good friend. I have known Tom since early grade school and we lived in the same neighborhood. My heart goes out to Tom and all of you experiencing a massive void in your life.

What a spirit! Laurel always got me laughing. What a force! We went to high school together and reconnected at exercise class in the 2000's. Her physical body may be gone but her spirit lives on in everyone she has touched. What a great woman.

Tom, Sue and family, I'm very sorry for your loss. She was a wonderful and kind person. God bless

I knew Laurel from Steelcase and she was one of the nicest people I ever interacted with. She always had a smile and a kind word. She was interested in what I had to say and asked questions about how my family was doing and growing. She was a special person.

When I was a young girl Laurel taught me to swim in Funkhouser’s swimming pool. Those “private” lessons helped me as I was a little scaredy-cat in the water. She was patient, fun and pretty and I never forgot her. Condolences to the family on your loss.

I had the great fortune to have known Laurel for the last 69 years. We grew up together living across from each other on Mona Lake. As 1st cousins we spent a lot of time at family gatherings. She was my companion, counterpart, and confident. We had so much fun together. Laurel was a very special person. She would put smiles on everyone’s faces when she entered the room. Everyone liked her. She could be elegant and classy or as down and dirty as the best of them depending on the occasion. She...
