Scheurenbrand, Laurel Lynn age 64, of Prior Lake. Survived by husband, Doug Scheurenbrand; son, Quinn (Daon) Karpan of Golden Valley; grandchildren, McKenna & Alanna Karpan. Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 PM, Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, Prior Lake, also one hour prior service at the church. Laurel was a 27-year employee of Burger Brothers/Gander Mountain and spent years assisting fellow outdoor enthusiasts, including volunteering at local schools to teach children about outdoor safety. Laurel was also actively involved in raising support for the fight against MS. Funeral Service Thursday, 10 AM, St. John's Lutheran Church, Lakeville, MN. Interment St. Catherine's Cemetery, Spring Lake Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the National MS Society (Minnesota Chapter) or Fairview Hospice. Even if she was having a bad day, Laurel always had her beautiful smile to get everyone through the day.
I will miss you Laurel, but heaven just gained the most beautiful angel.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Laurel. I had the pleasure of working with her at both Burger Brothers and Gander Mountain. I knew her to be a feisty and strong willed, yet incredibly sweet and caring woman that everyone looked up to as a mother-figure. This is a sad loss to human-kind, but it is good to know that she is at peace.
