Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved daughter, Lauren Grace Liu. She was 14 years old and was a freshman at Kent Place School. She earned straight A’s in her first trimester and was on the starting line-up on the Varsity tennis team helping them win the...

Not sure what to say?

It was always our privilege to work with Lauren at New Jersey Dance Theatre Ensemble in Summit. She was a very talented and driven dancer and moved with great expression. My greatest memories were teaching her in her ballet classes and in private ballet classes. Seeing the bright light in her artistic eyes and how inspired she was dancing. She especially loved to jump and move and disappeared into her own world. Dance is a important way to express the things we cannot say in Life...

Dear James and Helen,
We were so sad to hear about Lauren. She was a beautiful girl and you can always be proud of her. Please know that David and you are very much in our thoughts and prayers. May God hold your beautiful family in the palm of his hand, always protecting and caring for you. Lauren will always be your angel watching over you.
With our deepest condolences,
Caroline & Vikram

Dear Helen, Jim and David,

I read Lauren's stories on newspapers. As a mom of two pre-teen and teenage boys, I can not stop feeling the pain for your loss. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. May the cherished memories of beautiful Lauren help you find comfort and strength.

Dear James, Helen and David,

This is Bill, Carolyn, Max and Christina,

We are so very sad about your loss. Max told me that Lauren taught him to draw stars. He remembers how they would laugh so hard on the third level of your Wilmette home. Christina remembers their Banner graduation and cried when I told her the news. "She was my best friend in preschool" she said as she cried. I often think of you and hoped you were doing well. We look back at our many photos and...

Dear James and Helen,

We are so sorry for the loss of your beautiful girl. We are heart broken for you and David.

With Deepest Sympathy,
Ira and Sophia

Dear Jim, Helen and David,
We are grateful we met Lauren during the taekwondo times. All those days of hard practice and Lauren was still kind, gentle and smiley to others. It is beyond comprehension to digest what just happened. Your honesty and openness at the Memorial was so loving and inspiring. We will continue supporting the foundation and spread awareness to stop silent. Lauren will be forever loved and in our hearts. You are in our prayers.

Mike, Diana and Natalia Arena

Dear Liu Family,

I cannot imagine the pain that you are going through at this most difficult time. My girls knew Lauren and were deeply saddened by the news. She had a beautiful smile and touched all of those around her.

We hope you can find some comfort, as your courage in dealing with the difficult subject of depression, and the foundation you established in her memory, will help countless people in the future. Her death is not in vain, but serves as a lasting...

Dear James:

As a father of 3 daughters I am extremely sad to hear about Lauren. It is hard for me to imagine what pain you and your family must be feeling and I recognize there are no proper words to ease your grief. Please know that you have a piece of my heart and my wish that it gets easier with time. Your friend, David

Dear Liu Family,
Wishing you all the strength. Your family is constantly in my thoughts and prayers. Even though we have never met, my daughter attends Kent Place and that is how I learnt about Lauren.
