I was startled and deeply saddened to read in the Tribune (wonderful article though it was) of Larry's death. And I so empathize; my father suffered a similar fall.

Larry and I were acquainted through the North Shore Senior Center, serving on the Board of Directors together, as well as attending various events. When I was in medical school Dr. and Mrs. Rubenstein acted as a second set of parents to me. I fondly remember their support and sense of family.

We learned of Larry's death from Jon while traveling out of the country. Laura and I send our condolences to the entire family.
