I met Laurette, Bob and the grand children at Friendship center in summer of 2015. We were watching each other play with the children in the pool. She approached me with warmth and we had a long chat. Our friendship was instant and we talked over an hour. I shared with her wanting to enroll my boys at SCLS and she gave me the assurance that it was the best decision. She was passionate to hear stories about our African heritage.
