Not sure what to say?

Don't know where to start...people get separated by distance, time, circumstances. It is so sad to me to hear of Laurie's passing- so many years later. Wish I'd known...we lived in Provo at the time of her funeral and would have attended. Laurie was my roommate and partner in many adventures at BYU. We laughed, cried and travelled together. She was my friend and we could share heartfelt thoughts and dreams together. Rest in peace, dear Laurie. You fought harder and went farther than anyone...

I think of You often Laurie! I still see your beautiful smile and hear your contagious laugh. So grateful that Joan and I got to come see your beautiful home! Miss you! Susie

I am so saddened to hear of Laurie's recent death. She was a wonderful and caring friend to my daughter, Siobhan, when she moved to Salt Lake City, and indeed was at Siobhan's bedside at M.D. Anderson four years ago when Siobhan unexpectedly died. Laurie had traveled from Washington to Houston to support Siobhan in her time of need - Laurie's life always marked by a spirit of perseverance, grace and a genuine concern for the needs and interests of others. Through the experience of Laurie's...

This is very sad news. I worked with Laurie and considered her a dear friend. I have several pieces of her glass art and was such an honor to see her work space when she lived in Salt Lake. She was such a wonderful dear person. I remember when she left Salt Lake, how excited she was to move to Washington and spend time with her dear husband. She always spoke so highly of him. May her family find peace.

Dear Gary,
I just found out about Lauries passing, Dianne & I will always have a special place in our heart for your sweet wife, her legacy of beautiful art glass will live on in my sculptured bells.
We have fond memories of our trip to your special island home.

Laurie was always determined to be the best at what she did. Even with her disabilities she was a Cheerleader in High School and an inspiration to all. What a sweet person Laurie was. She will be missed. Love and condolences to the family.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. May your memories comfort your heart; and God help the Burns family during this time of sorrow. Isa.41:13

A quick wit, a passion for life, an amazingly talented glass artist....these are just some of the characteristics attributed to this wonderful woman and dear friend. My husband and I spent many an hour at Laurie & Gary's home indulging in awesome seafood and lively conversations. Dear Laurie, you are deeply missed and will always be in our hearts.
