Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to learn of Laurie's passing. I too was one of her classmates at Einstein High, who met her during Camelot, but since she was a year ahead of me, didn't really get to know her and the full measure of her talent until Brigadoon. I remember thinking at the time, how is this beautiful, talented girl in high school? I was so fortunate and proud to be her date for her Senior Prom, and remember dancing afterwards in Hope Van Hosen's basement - we had a ball! And it is wonderful to...

Im very sorry to hear,Roberta. Our thoughts are with you and your family.

I am so sorry hearing of Laurie’s passing. I have such fond memories of Laurie – what a kind hearted soul – she had a larger than life personality. I got to know Laurie by being her parent’s neighbor in Kensington. Laurie was a loving and caring daughter to her parents and gave selflessly to help them with their every need; it was touching to see how loving they were together. It was an honor knowing the Mr. and Mrs. Dunlap and Laurie. My thoughts are with Laurie’s family and friends.

Laurie and I first met on the set of Einstein High’s production of Brigadoon. After graduation, we worked together a few times on various gigs and musical endeavors and then again in the mid-nineties when she briefly joined our choral group Encore led at that time by John Scott (our choir director at Einstein). I had the great pleasure of seeing her in several local musical productions over the years including the two roles that she really seemed to own; Dolly (in Hello Dolly) and Mama...

I had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Laurie on numerous productions with Rockville Musical Theatre. We also served together on their board of directors for several years. So sorry to learn of her passing.

Laurie was a year ahead of me at Einstein H.S. and we first met when she was in Camelot and I was the pianist. Later, we were onstage in Brigadoon together and studied voice with the same voice teacher and were in choir at school. Laurie was gentle and kind and I never heard her raise her voice to anyone, except in singing a high note! She will always be Fiona in Brigadoon to me and I still hear her lovely voice on the recording. I'm sorry I won't see her at the reunion this year as I...

I walked by her childhood home just days ago and told my wife how her and Janet Hobbs were great friends as elementary kids at Oakland Terrace. It was a neighborhood full of kids and open doors. I had no idea of her talent and regret never hearing her voice in song. My childhood memories of her and the all the fellowship of youth are still my fondest thoughts.

A star in everyone's heart. She brought much joy and love to me and all who knew her. The world is a richer place for having her here. An unreplacable loss but her light will continue to burn bright in our hearts and we will always remember her.
