Not sure what to say?

My grandmother was and will always be my hero, inspiration, and guiding light. I love you and miss you with all my heart. You will always be with us. We are so grateful.

Easter April 2015

I knew Laurie as the mom of Elaine and Margo. She came regularly to our Easter picnics and for many years threw an annual open house in her home at Christmas.
Laurie was a woman of great intelligence and style who was able to make everyone she met feel comfortable and honored. Laurie followed her dreams and lived a full and useful life, raising two wonderful daughters to do the same.
Laurie was an inspiration to all and will be missed by her loving family and many friends. A life well...

I have burned a candle every night since learning of the death of mom's (Myrtle S. Pierce) dear and treasured friend. We keep you - Elaine and Margo and family lifted in our prayers. It was with fortitude, pride, humility, care, compassion and fierce independence that Laurie M Gunter lived her life. What a treasure and blessing that she and mom shared 70+ years of friendship and love over these years. We are thankful for her life, lifes work and the many people's lives she touched. She...

Much love to Laurie and her family.

I never heard your mom express regrets. She did what she loved! How many of us can say that? Thank you for sharing such a generous and loving spirit with us!

Thank you Laurie for being a champion for older adults. Because of you, Sheila and Pam were able to focus much of their professional lives on advocating for and helping seniors!

Laurie continued to stay in touch even though I no longer knew who she was. (Due to Alzheimer's) We became good friends in Nashville at Fisk and Meharry!

So blessed that Laurie was a part of our lives for over 50 years..and good friend to our mom, Myrtle for more than 70 years!

We exchanged only a few phone calls on business matters, but it was easy to know Dr. Gunter was a lady of education, generosity of spirit...and wisdom. We are all diminished by her passing.
