Laurie gave us so many years of wonderful music at the Newman Catholic Center at EIU. She was such a wonderful gift to us. Her ability to fill the air with such beauty will never be forgotten by me. Laurie was one of my closest friends. I have many wonderful memories of her from high school, Eastern, and beyond. I will miss her very much, but always cherish the memories. My prayers are with her family and friends.

Laurie and I lived on the same floor of Taylor Hall at Eastern. Although I didn't really get to know her as well as I wanted, she was a very friendly person and will be missed by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Thacker and Kienlen families, and especially to Stuart. Even though it hurts to see her go, remember that Laurie is no longer in pain and is home with her heavenly Father.

Laurie lived on the same floor in Taylor hall as I did while at Eastern and she was my ESA sister. I always loved to hear her laugh. She was a beautiful person inside and out. God bless Stu and the Thacker family, you are in my prayers.

I went to EIU with Laurie and was in ESA with her. She was a very sweet girl and she will be missed. It is always a shame to see someone so young leave us. My prayers go to her husband, family and friends.
