Not sure what to say?

I met Laurie at Rogers High School and she was a joy to know because she was a quick wit and made everybody laugh. She never had an unkind word for anyone. For a short while after I had moved from Wyoming, Laurie rented an apartment from my parents. My dad thought the world of Laurie. Every time I would call home, I got some funny story about Laurie. I followed her on Facebook for the past couple of years, praying for her as she battled a terrible disease. She was so positive and had a deep...

My deepest condolences to my cousins. Very difficult to lose a sibling and loved one. My the Lord give you peace knowing she is now in Heaven.

Laurie and I are two years apart. She did Not Want her younger sister tagging along. In high school, I complained to Dad because I was required to maintain higher grades. Dad said "Laurie is so social, that I'm just trying to get her through school!" I was boring compared to her.
Only Laurie could make Dad laugh when he was mad - a true gift.
My sister was funny, gutsy, level headed, gave great advice, a devoted Mom, wife and friend.

Once Laurie and I started our...

Laurie has been my sister for a little over 64 years now. We have navigated life from a rather idyllic childhood, at 1496 Blanchard St., where we ice skated in the backyard, on a pond made by my dad, went sliding on a hill behind our house, in Jackson Park, (where they later built Jackson Park Junior High, our school), and watched football games at Rogers High School, which became ingrained in the fabric of our lives.
We also stuck together during the tough times after our parent's...

To the family of Laurie. I am so very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences. I went to school with Laurie and she was always smiling and funny. When I saw her posts of facebook they were always positive and uplifting. She is no longer suffering and is in heaven with the angels and looking down on us smiling. She will be missed!

My sister, Laurie, had the warmest heart, sharpest wit, and beautiful brunette hair and green eyes. She was a wonderful big sister, and raised me at times when still a child herself during times when my mother was unable to do so. She always had my back. When we were little, she would spend her whole allowance on candy for me to let me know that there was good in the world. She was always generous, caring, and filled with a strong faith in the Lord. She was always happy to see me and loved...

My dear friend, I love you and will miss you. You helped me find laughter and joy in my life, especially after my husband's passing. I will miss our daily talks, porch visits, puzzling, playing games and watching movies together. You were a very special lady to me and I will never forget you. I will miss our weekends together. You are now with your best friend, Jesus, and I find great comfort in that. Thank you for being my friend!
