LAURIE JEANE PECHAUER

I just saw Laurie's obituary notice in the NCC alumni news. I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of Laurie's roommates in college. And she was in our wedding. She was a wonderful friend and a joy to all who knew her. We did not remain in contact, but I thought of her often and wondered about her life. It sounds as if she continued touching lives for the better and living a full life. I know she will be missed. Please accept my condolences.

So saddened by this news. Your wife/mother was my teacher, not once but twice. I had the luck of having her as Miss Good for 1st grade in 1976, then as.Mrs. Pechauer in 1981 as my 5th grade teacher. She was such a wonderful teacher and woman. She is one of the reasons I became a teacher myself. I have now taught for 19 years and pray every day I am touching lives like her. My prayers for her family and may she be at peace now. Much love and admiration to you, my beloved teacher! <3

My heart aches at getting this news. I was the luckiest little girl in 1976 to have Miss Good as my 1st grade teacher. Then luck struck again in 1981, when I had her again as my 5th grade teacher, now Mrs. Pechauer. She forever touched my life as my favorite teacher EVER! So much so that I went on to become a teacher and have done so now for 19 years. I have thought of her often over the years and always hope I am touching lives as much as she touched mine.
