In loving memory of a wonderful person. I saw that Laurie passed when I read the IUP Magazine today. I knew Laurie at IUP and as a member of a group that studied for three weeks in England in 1977 with Drs. Shaffer and Landon. I remember she was planning to be a lawyer. She accomplished so much! Her smile will be missed.

Sincere condolences to all of Laurie's friend's and loved ones. I so enjoyed working with her on fraud cases at the Department of Justice. She was an outstanding lawyer and colleague and an amazing public servant. I'm so sorry she did not get to enjoy the very long and happy retirement she deserved.

Truly one of a kind - fierce, funny, courageous, loyal, and kind. We have all lost a great friend and the noblest of souls.

When Laurie joined the Laytonsville Women's Golf League she immediately brought a fun and bright spirit to our group. We all enjoyed her sense of humor and enthusiasm as Tournament Chairperson for fun competitive golf. She will be greatly missed.
