Not sure what to say?

I met Laurie in 1999 after my mare had a minor medical emergency, probably like many folks. I was in my teens and the mare was 5. Laurie saved her life several times over the subsequent years, for which I am eternally thankful and allows her to still live with me today, at nearly 31 years old and me in my 40's. The world will never see anyone like her again and she will be greatly missed.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Laurie. I had the honor to know her and the privilege of her taking care of my Oscar at Top Notch Equestrian Centre. Dr. Laurie took care of him many years before I even owned him and then she continued to keep him healthy for the 12 lucky years I had with him. She was a truly wonderful person and a devoted veterinarian. She will be missed immensely. My deepest sympathies to her family.

It is with great sadness that we learned of Laurie's passing. Laurie and her crew were the best. Laurie took care of all our horses as if they were her own. Laurie developed such a great rapport with every horse we had, well, except one, Rajah. That pony recognized the sound of her truck the minute she would turn into our driveway and hide in the farthest part of the pasture. It was funny and Laurie we always laugh about it. One out of seven or eight is not bad ! Laurie help all the kids...

Always there when you needed her no matter what time of day or night. We were blessed to have her as our small animal vet and later as our equestrian vet for years. She was a walking book of knowledge and always knew how to make the best out of any situation you were facing. The world lost one of the most knowledgeable and compassionate people we have ever met. I'm sure you are taking care of all those animals on the other side of the rainbow now. Rest In Peace. Your "farm friends",...

My kind of vet. See you in the new system.

When Laurie arrived at our barn to tend to one of our horses with a health issue, we knew everything was going to be fine. She was the best, always amazed us on how she had any situation under control within minutes, even our horses were glad to see her. Don & Patsy Menecola

Although I didn't know her,she sounds like she was an amazing person. She enjoyed life. My condolences. Roger Vreeland

Thank you Dr. Wessel for your love and care for our horses, Molly and her daughter, Stinger. But thank you for being our friend.

Thank you for helping us through hard times with Bunny and Rodeo. You were the best. Rest well, Sweet Friend. :-(
