Not sure what to say?

Saddened to learn of Miss Lavada's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Newton,Tinker,Chris,Ray,the whole family,my thoughts and prayers are with y'all.

I was honored to have sat with her and listen to her stories. Such a rare beauty of a soul.

Lavender was the best friend my mom and I ever had and we will miss her. See you later in heaven Lavender we love you.

I HAD ONLY MET SISTA LAVADA A COUPLE OF TIMES AT AMITE PENTECOSTAL CHURCH, BUT THOSE COUPLE OF TIMES, SHE WAS A GREAT WOMAN OF GOD, LOVE ME LIKE SHE DID HER OWN CHILD. I KNOW, NO MATTER WHERE SHE WENT OR LIVED, SHE GAVE AND SHOWED LOVE TO ALL. THANK YOU SIS,FOR BEING THERE FOR ME AS A NEW COMER, AND WELCOMING ME WITH OPEN ARMS, AS OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, IS NOW, WELCOMING YOU INTO THE GLORIOUS KINGDOM OF HEAVEN!!

I met Lavada & Joe in 1972 when I came home from Law School. There were many dairys then and I closed dairy loans for the banks, PCa, FLB etc monthly. We became friends and continued our friendship since then. She was a Special person!

She was a sweet Christian woman whom will be sadly missed

LAVADA was a treasured and precious friend for many years When our shifts were the same or even close we carpooled frequently. I will miss celebrating her birthday with her at the Golden Corral. After we had both retired, we became TV buddies. Lavada made some of the best chicken gumbo I have ever feasted on.
I remember one Saturday morning I had come to cut her yard and brought her some donuts from the shop in Roseland. I had also got her a bottle of balsamic vinegar for recipes...

Where do I start, Ms Lavad and family goes way back for me I'm gonna say 56 years . She opened her home for us where our house burned down, went to school with all her kids, milked cows with her, rode and bailed hay with all the kids, we even picked green beans together on their farm. Shook many gallons of milk for butter one time, I can go on and on. My love for Ms Lavada has always been like she was my second mom. She will be greatly missed. So glad I had a few visits with her recently. ...
