Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Callison was my 4th and 5th grade teacher at Schumaker in the mid-1970s. She was such a wonderful person and teacher and it was a joy to be in her class. I remember with fondness the anecdotal stories she told of her husband and her girls. She was also my first employer. She paid me a small amount each week to stay after school and grade spelling and math papers. Years later it was always a pleasure to run into her at Christ Presbyterian Church, where my parents attend. My...

She was my 5th grade teacher at Hillsboro Grade and was just a wonderful teacher and person. So sorry to hear of her passing.

Alice, Ann, & Families,
On this Thanksgiving Day, we just wanted you to know that we are thankful for having had the privilege of knowing both of your parents. They were two of our favorite people. We are sorry for your loss.

Alice, I was so sorry to read about the passing of your mom. Just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you at this difficult time.

I have many fond memories of working with Lavaun at Schumker Elementary School. She was a dedicated teacher and a strong advocate for her students. She was a good friend and co-worker. I still recall many stories she would share about Gilmer and their two daughters. She was always positive and a very special "southern" lady. My condolences to her family. May fond memories help sustain you through this difficult time.

I write to express my condolence for a friend of many years

Lavaun was one of my best teachers at Shumaker. She was wonderful with the students, and certainly a Teacher Leader. She was always full of joy, and could tell stories about her life, her children and all of us. I learned from her and enjoyed the parties she hosted at her home. She was the life of the party and could always find the best in people. My condolences to the familia. I loved her dearly,
Dr. Becky Montano

I cherish the years I spent with Lavaun teaching at Schumaker Elementary Schumaker in Tucson. Lavaun was so down to earth and genuine and had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by the many lives she touched.

I have such fond memories of classy Lavaun when we attended Christ Presbyterian Church at the same time. Enjoyed time with both Lavuan her husband. R.I.P.
