I DANCED WITH "MISS" LAVERGNE FOR 20 YEARS ALL OVER ST.LOUIS. SHE HAD HER GOLD SEQUINNED COSTUME AND DID "THINK" BY ARETHA FRANKLIN. SO FANTASTIC!!! I LOVED HER FROM JAN. '88 TO 2008 WHEN I BROKE MY BACK AND WAS UNABLE TO DANCE ANY MORE. D.COLLEEN HEITKOETTER.

WE INDEED SO SORRY TO HEAR OF LAVERGNE'S PASSING AFTER TWO MONTH .

I FIRST MET NANA BACK IN 2002 DURING HER VISIT IN KENYA AFRICA. I WAS THEN IN MY PRIMARY SCHOOL ,SHE HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR ME EVER SINCE CURRENTLY AM ALMOST COMPLETING MY UNIVERSITY . WHILE IN KENYA WE VISITED THE SWEET WATER TENTED CAMP WHERE WE HAD LOTS OF FUN WITH HER AND TOGETHER WITH MY FAMILY, I REMEMBER SHE TAUGHT ME DANCE MOVES. "NANA " YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS, I REMEMBER THE NUMEROUS WORD OF...

I STILL CAN SEE LAVERGNE DOING HER SPECIALTY NUMBER BY ARETHA FRANKLIN "THINK" IN HER GOLD SEQUINED COSTUME.
FROM ONE OF HER "LOVELIES"

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I've known Mrs. Skorepa since the 1970's,having met her through my friendship with her son, Larry. She was a true woman of Christian faith and she loved life. She always made me feel welcomed in her home, always offering something to eat or drink. She knew I loved to eat. She is now with her Lord Jesus and we will see her again.

We were so sorry to hear of Lavergne's passing. We first met her 29 years ago when we moved in "down the hill" and our daughter Lauren was a playmate to Stephanie. Over the years we have enjoyed the sounds of dance lessons and admired Lavergne as an "Energizer Bunny" whose energy seemed unflagging. She will be missed by many.

I FIRST MET LAVERGNE JUNE 2001 DURING HER VACATION IN KENYA AFRICA. I WAS WORKING IN A SMALL CURIO SHOP AND SHE PROMISED TO SPONSOR ME TO CONTINUE WITH MY EDUCATION SINCE MY PARENT COULDN'T RAISE THE REQUIRED COLLEGE FEE. IT'S THROUGH HER SUPPORT THAT I MADE TO GET A DIPLOMA IN TOURISM,SPANISH AND JAPANESE. I LOVED "NANA" VERY MUCH AS SHE WAS KIND AND INSPIRING. I LOVED YOU LAVERGNE BUT GOD LOVED YOU MOST. REST IN PEACE!!
JULIUS MAINA NDERITU, NAIROBI KENYA.
