LAVERN JUNIOR WITTUM

WITTUM, LAVERN JUNIOR Of Crawfordsville, IN, passed away Friday, December 13 at Lane House. He was 86. Born August 6, 1933 at Mt. Morris, Michigan, he was the son of Lavern Wittum, Sr. and Lois (Macham) Wittum. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School and later attended the General Motors Institute where he earned a degree in engineering. On September 9, 1952 he married Shirley Kettler at Capac, Michigan. She survives. Mr. Wittum served his country in the United States Army. He retired from General Motors after 35 years as a method engineer in the parts division. Previously he served as worship leader at Trinity Assembly of God in Flint, Michigan. In addition to his wife, Shirley, surviving family members include daughters, Cindy L. Wittum, Carolyn (Gary) Hanson and Cathleen M. (Hugh) Robbins. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 27, 2019 with viewing at 9:30 AM and services at 11:00 AM at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI. Rev. Gary R. Hanson officiating.
