Laverna A Kern

Your mother's name was familiar to my sister and I (Cindi and Rita Ketchum) as Laverna and Ernie were very good friends with our parents, Murt and Ila Nell (Skip) Ketchum. In fact, I think they even lived together for a bit at Baker's Corner near Willow Grove in Longview when they all came out from Minnesota. Mom was born in Wadena and Dad was born in Tentstrike. Anyway, you won't know Cindi or I, but we wanted you to know how much your parents' friendship meant to ours. Our sympathies...

Dear Laverna's Family, Laverna was the sweetest, most graceful, beautiful lady. For years my mother, Adele Andring Johnston, worked at Kamlu, and as she grew older, moved to Kamlu to live. I enjoyed visiting with Laverna so many times. Mom passed away October, 2020 at a magical 100 years old, but ALWAYS kept her memories of her Kamlu friends close.
