Marti, I just now learned of Vern's passing. I am saddened by this news. Although we were the same age, Vern was already an FSA when I joined MM actuarial program in 1963. He was one of my favorite people, and I enjoyed observing his tremendous atheletic endeavors. Take Care, Jack Thompson

I just saw the obituary notice today in a Society of Actuaries' email, and I wanted to express my condolences. Vern was my first boss at MM (in 1968) and he was a great mentor to me.

Marti, Just heard of Vern's passing. So sorry for your loss.

Vern was one of the good guys.
