LaVerne E. "Bud" Dake

Bud was my older cousin. At family gathering and other events Bud was always the person I would seek out because he would always have a positive comment, a tousle of my hair or a pretend gesture of tickling. Bud seemed to always have a ready smile and a kind word for everyone.

My Dad, Henry Garnaat worked at Crankshaft also and I remember as a kid going over to Bud and Pat's house with my parents. They stayed in touch after my Dad retired and was a good friend.
I am sorry for your loss.

I have many great memories of being in his presence as a friend of Steve and him being a customer. I will never forget the morning when Steve and our buddies were waking up in the family room after a Halloween sleepover and Bud was heading out in his Elmer Fudd hunting outfit and one of us asked where he was going......"I'm going to go shoot some lost trick or treaters.." was his reply....classic sense of humor....my heart goes out to the Dake family.....
