Laverne Jenkins-Dawes

It is with sadness I have read of the passing of Mrs Laverne Dawes. She was the wife of my old friend Thurber Dawes and the mother of Evan Dawes. I met Laverne and Evan only once in Manhattan but I knew Thurber and his family when we were young people living in the Sheepshead Bay neighborhood in Brooklyn NY.
