Laverne was my grandmother's cousin. While I never knew my grandmother (Carol Jean), I knew about her through Laverne's memories. Laverne shared several stories with me in the fall of 2008. She also shared her Genealogy research with me for our family tree. She was lovely woman with a kind heart and she will be missed.

If you were fortunate enough to have been held close to LaVerne's heart, consider yourself blessed. Her spunky, smiling presence graced us all. She was an amazing woman, independent, a loyal and devoted friend. Her generous and kind spirit endeared her to all who knew and loved her. She will be missed by all those who carry her bright light within.

LaVerne was a wonderful neighbour and true friend to me and my husband for many years. Her sense of humour and genuine faith in God was an inspiration. She was quite a lady in all ways. However it is a comfort to know she is now reunited with her beloved Joe and family. I sure will miss you LaVerne. God bless. My love always Margaret
