i think Mrs. Ramsey was my eighth grade English teacher at Homewood Junior High School for the school year 1958-59. Is that correct? Surely there are not two Laverne Ramseys. I, of course, would not have called her LaVerne to her face but we kids thought It was a cool French sounding name and because of singer LaVerne Baker of Jim Dandy game. I remember her fondly.

LaVerne was a warm, fun and giving person who attended and took great memory pictures at my daughters marriage to Ryan in Illinois. She was an instant friend to all who met her. Im sure she will be missed by many.
My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends.
BTW my fathers name was
I. Clark Davis.
