Two great people, she and Raffaele.

I was thinking Laverne just the other day when I was going through the family tree in ancestry.

I still think of Lavern often and Raffaele. She was a bit older than me, and I looked up to her because she was in college. She was always pleasant, positive and cheerful, and I was always happy when I saw her. Raffaele was the same way and he really fit into our family well. God bless them both.

I am so sorry about Laverne’s passing. She was my cousin and the connection between my modern family and my German ancestors since she lived as a girl with my great grandfather John Haag along with her parents, my Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle Henry. I would see her when my father would bring the family over to visit my Great Grandfather. I remember when she first brought Rafael to her New Jersey home after her Paris Trip when he was working for Merck. They were a dashing couple, she was elegant...
