Lavinia Crosland was one of the dearest, most caring people I have ever known. Many generations of children at Myers Park Presbyterian Church have been touched by her kind and gentle nature. What a wonderful, sweet lady.
I met Lavania 24 years ago. We quickly became friends. I would join her and her group of ladies at the dinner table at Sharon Towers almost every Wednesday. I loved hearing Eudora Garrison and Lavania's stories. When she met my Mother, they spent the entire night giggling about the "good ole days".
My husband and I moved away from Charlotte so I have not seen her in several years. I continued to think of her often.
