LaVon Albert Golter

LaVon Golter was a friend since high school in Arapahoe, NE. LaVon and myself along with 12 other young men from the Arapahoe area rode the train to Omaha, NE the night of January 26, 1955. Those who passed physical exams and etc. were inducted into the U.S. Army on January 29, 1955. We then rode a train to Fort Bliss, TX where we went through basic training.
