Lavon Lawson-Sizelove

Lavon Lawson-Sizelove, age 88 of Elwood, Indiana died January 14, 2005 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood after an extended illness. She was born on April 4, 1916 in Madison County, Indiana. She was a Homemaker and also worked in sales at R.L. Leeson & Sons Department Store in Elwood from 1963 until the store closing. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Elwood. She was a graduate of Frankton High School in 1934 and was a member of the American Business Women’s Association in Elwood.

Survivors include - Daughter: Diana Dunham of Elwood. 2 Sons: Rick Sizelove and Ron and wife Patsy Lawson all of Elwood. Stepson: Doug and wife Anita Sizelove of Freeport, MI. Sister: Betty and husband Jack Follis of Alexandria. Sister-in-law: Joan Loser of Anderson. 11 Grandchildren: Kim and husband Troy Morris of Racine, WI; Deanie Lawson of Windfall; Stasha and husband Randy Parker of Daleville; Ryun Burton of Elwood; Erica and husband Troy Powell of Elwood; Cale and wife Nicki Sizelove of Arcadia; Dana Sizelove of New Jersey; Brad and wife Amy Sizelove of Saginaw, MI; B.J. Dunham of Noblesville; Kim Mitroff of California; and Jim Mitroff of California. 14 Great-Grandchildren: Brandon Sheets, Jason Sheets, Jacob Updegraff, Trey Lawson, Madalynn Parker, Peyton Parker, Karsyn Powell, Shay Powell, Emma Sizelove, Andrew Sizelove, Jarred Letterman, Areiella Mitroff, Dino Mitroff, and Anthony Mitroff. 2 Great-Great Grandchildren: Triston Sheets and Cameron Sheets. Preceded in death by - Parents: Pearl and Maude (Shettery) Loser. First Husband whom she married in 1936: Fred Lawson. 2nd Husband whom she married in 1947: Paul “Jack” Sizelove. Son: Jon Lawson. Granddaughter: Ronna Lawson. Brother: Marion Loser.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home in Elwood with Dr. John Dawson, officiating. Burial will be in the Elwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Missionary Baptist Church in Elwood.
