Thank you very much for this reminder. Although I remember Laurence (the spelling he once preferred) each day at mass, I shall offer a requiem mass for the repose of his soul and the consolation of Ann and the members of his family, including his brothers and sister. He was a great man.

I just learned yesterday of the death of my former student and good friend, Lawrence Alioto, I was in close communication until a couple of years ago, and I was close to his father and mother. I also knew Joe and Angela well, and of course Ann Mussallem and her mother. I offered mass for him this morning and will continue to keep him, the members of his family and those who mourn his passing in my daily masses and prayers. He was a great man.
