Not sure what to say?

Mr. Allen, or "Big A," as we kids called him had an unfathomable influence on me during the time in my life I spent in Boy Scout troop 74. I learned survival skills AND life lessons from him that I still remember today. He brought such a positive and tolerant energy, always going above and beyond to help us in our journey as scouts and young men.

Thinking of your family, especially little Larry. All the Troop 74 Scouts you mentored including; Zac, Jereme, Robert and I, are grateful for the time you spent with our Scouting family. I know the guys will never forget PHILMONT and so many scouting memories. Thankful that you are now healed and rejoicing with family and friends. With love and thanks.

Just a few words for a man whom I called "Big A." I was an angry, spirited, but well meaning young lad when I joined Boy Scout Troop 74 out of Hummelstown PA. Mr Allen was always kind to me, and displayed what I could only describe as infinite patience with me, as he and Stan Wisniewski (also known as "Big Wisk") tried to teach me how to survive not only in the wilderness, but also in life as a young man. Along with lessons on knots, carving, and fire building, they imparted lessons on...

My Prayers go out to you. I worked with Larry at the beginning of my career at PennDOT. He always had a laugh to give and a smile to share. He was a great man.

Sad to lose a good friend. My many years of association with Larry at PaDot were always good ones. Great sense of humor and always a gentleman.
God Bless!

Hoping your Mom and Ann were the first to greet you Larry. Already miss your walk to the garage to hang with Dickbird. Janet be strong. You will find many to walk with in your new journey

We will miss Larry's visit to new Smyrna Beach in the spring on their way back home. It was always a pleasure to listen to his stories.
