ANACONDA - Lawrence "LA" Anderson, 45, died tragically on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at his home in Opportunity.

He was born, the youngest of three children, Sept. 4, 1960, to Alfred E. and Dorothy Anderson in Anaconda. His life was rich with family and friends and ended way too soon. He was loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He loved nature and hunting, believed in God, and was a collector of everything. His family and friends often came to him to work on their vehicles; he was a great backyard mechanic. Lawrence traveled a lot as his work took him to the surrounding areas and states. He was a hard worker and made friends wherever he went. Everyone said he was a great guy and would do anything for you if he could. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good laugh.

Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred E. Anderson and Dorothy Thibodeau; stepfather, Wally Thibodeau; and grandparents, Larry and Lois Benbrook and Elmer Anderson and Pearl Davis.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Jane (Allen) Rangitsch, Anaconda, Ruthie "Cami" (Kevin) Akers, Bend, Ore.; children, Cody (Brent) Decker and Mitchel Anderson, Columbia Falls; grandchildren, Jayden and Jorden Decker; special aunt, Sylvia Anderson, Anaconda; nieces and nephews, Jayme and Feri Anderson, Germany, Sara Miller, Helena, Bryce and Alyson Rangitsch, Anaconda, and Jessica and Eric Akers, Bend, Ore.; great-nieces, Juaneh Anderson, Germany, and Kylie Miller, Helena; great-nephew, Kaiden Cline, Helena; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and good friends.
