Mr. Battiste was a student in my Adult Education GED class at Bishop State's Carver Campus. Each day he rode into class with a big smile on his face. Even though I was the teacher, I learned a lot from him. I know he will be greatly missed. May God bless and keep watch over his entire family.

My sincere condolences to the Battiste Family. Mr. Battiste came into the Toulminville Branch Library nearly every day and the staff loved talking with him. He was a wealth of knowledge and did mine sharing it. Being in his electric wheelchair, that never stopped him from going where he wanted to go. He will be missed.
