Lawrence J. Bayer

Father Bayer married us 30 years ago. We both grew up in the neighborhood and Parish of St. Bridget. May he Rest in Heaven.

It was my great good fortune to have known Father Bayer as the Pastor of St. Bridget's of Kildare Church for over 30 years. He was a kind, compassionate, and gentle man, as well as a gentleman. Mild, good humored and good natured, he handled his duties in a reasonable fashion. Responsible, reliable, dependable, loyal are among the many adjectives applicable to him. He was a shepherd to his flock, and a guide and sponsor in the administration of his sacerdotal functions, as well as running...

Well done good and faithful serve t of God. My family has fond memories of our days at St. Bridget. Father Bayer was a kind, caring spiritual Father to all of us. He never uttered an unkind word about anyone. He was a perfect example of Pope Francis mandate of working among the faithful and accepting the smell of his sheep A former parishioner of 50 plus years

So sorry to hear of Fr. Bayer´s passing. My mom always said he was a great comfort to her when my father died, and she got to know his mother through St. Bridget´s Senior Club. He officiated at my wedding and I will always remember him for his gentleness and kindness. My deepest sympathy to his family.
