Not sure what to say?

I remember Larry. We dated for awhile in about 1971. He was a nice guy. And sang in Army chorus w Clint Holmes. I lived at the Woodner Hotel in DC on 16th Street. I played the piano and Larry wanted me to teach lessons to beginners. May he Rest In Peace

I met Larry through the NEMC Company and our friendship grew fom there. He was a mentor for me when I started my company A2G Music Inc. in Woodbridge, Va. He always gave me good advice and great service with a smile. Always ready to give me the right answers when I needed them. To this day I never seen anyone tune a guitar as fast as him. Our deepest condolences to his wife and family from our entire staff at A2G Music.

Our daughter Paige took bass lessons with Bill Oliver for 3 years Larry was always there ready to help with questions or anything we needed he will be missed

Our daughter, Lizzie Schott, has been taking guitar lessons with Doc Reed over at Reston Music for the past four+plus years. I have enjoyed so many wonderful chats with Larry over the years, I really looked forward to seeing him every week and joking with him about life in general. He had a great sense of humor, and an obvious passion and delight for music. I watched him coach some really young newcomers, and he was a natural with them -- put them right at ease. He once shared with me pictures...

Dear Kevin & Family,

I met Larry at my first Namm show in the late eighties. He certainly knew the music industry. He is now in heaven playing music with the angels.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. He will be musically missed.

God Bless & Take Care

I still play the first guitar (Ovation) I bought from Larry in 1979. This guitar has made it around the world and is "first string" at the fire pit for many song filled nights... Thanks Mr Bearce

Larry was my boss and gave me my first music teaching job when I was just 17 and still in high school. I worked at Twinbrooke Music for a few years then moved to Los Angeles in 1999. He had a great personality, told great stories and introduced me to fine wine. My sympathies to his family.

I first met Larry in the early 70's when he taught me (and my 3 brothers) to play the accordian at Fairfax Music. My father helped Larry finance the original music store and I even worked there briefly. Larry taught me how to "qualify a customer"... He sang at my brother's wedding and although we have lost touch in recent years, Larry has remained a part of my musical journey. My family's thoughts and prayers with Nancy, Brian, Kevin, and Jan.

Our community has lost a great advocate of Music Arts in our schools and our lives. Larry became a friend to all who came through his store doors, and took a real interest in the education and advancement of all the students.
My family and I are happy to have called him friend and will truly miss him.
